My Online Adventure
The online business adventure I've experienced, in truth,
actually began in March of 1993.
It was spring, a wonderful time
in sunny Arizona, and I remember
the exact moment when the journey
first started. I was sitting on a park bench
in the courtyard outside
an orthopedic surgeon's office.
I had just been told that I should find
another career.
What?
Another career?
I kept asking myself, “What am I going to do?”
I had been working as a teaching tennis pro.
I loved what I was doing.
I didn't want to stop giving
tennis lessons. I enjoyed the game
and all the people who participated
with me. I loved being out in the sun.
Unwillingly, I accepted the change
forced upon me.
I started looking for a non-physical way
to earn income.
Fast forward to 2005...
and I had decided to find a way
to make money the Internet.
I enjoyed working on a computer
even though I am not a techie at all.
What some people 'hyped' as “easy money”
soon became totally overwhelming to me.
My god, there was so much, so much, and again,
so much to learn. Inundated. There was simply
too much information and too many people
who thought they knew what they were doing.
It may have been simple for them, but I know
it was not simple or easy for thousands of others.
It was then I began spending lots of money
in order to learn what I needed to know
and make money online.
As a side note, doing business on the Internet
is a totally different world... in comparison
to the brick and mortar environment.
Yes, learning about the Internet cost me
lots of money, which I really didn't have,
but I considered it as an investment,
not an expense.
Not everyone felt the same about their money
that was gone. Many people say
they were scammed, or ripped off,
because they were offered programs
that didn't deliver for them.
Most often, I felt it was because they were
either lazy or greedy, or sadly, both.
Those expenses were part of my education.
How much does a doctor spend before he's allowed
to practice his profession?
In 2007, I got my own website and a course on how
to make money through the website to go with it.
After struggling with it for three months,
I gave it away to a friend in Canada
that I had met online.
Though now I believe she knew less about html
and online protocol than I, she persisted and actually
got the website up and functioning. Notice – I did not
use the word running. We had a site, but in no way
was it in a fashion that it could actually...
earn a profit.
I drifted in and out of offline 'jobs' because I am
more than a rebel maverick and just need
to do my own thing while trying to somewhat
fit in with the conventional society.
As I said earlier, I spent a whole crap-load
of time and money trying to learn
everything I could in order to earn an income
on the Internet, with the hope that eventually
I'd show a net profit.
People think that everything you might need to know
to do business online can be found for free on the web.
Did you notice I used the word 'web'?
I did that intentionally because that free concept
is a “web of deceit”.
There is just...
… no free lunch.
Without a doubt, I can guarantee that there are
not any magic buttons either.
If money is to be made, you really
need to work for it in order to earn it.
I wanted the prospect of being independent while
doing a business in collaboration and cooperation
of others. As a rebel, I wanted to be in control
of my own destiny, but still without the struggle
of re-inventing the wheel.
Over the years, I have looked everywhere
trying to find that right fit.
At last...
I have found it....
It's a combination of programs,
or applications as some people
like to describe them.
I've found team or network
of independent individuals
who work for the benefit of all,
without having secret agendas
that simply add to their own...
selfish accumulation.

I hope you found this brief overview of my career
as somewhat entertaining, and possibly even...
inspirational.
Whatever.
Use it, or lose it, as you deem fit.
